The holidays are a time to share with your family, but not every family is as perfect as the ones you see on TV. After years of stomaching your aunt’s funky fruitcake, listening to your uncle’s lame jokes and putting up your mom’s annual nagging you might be ready to trade your family for any one of these fictional TV clans.
10. The Barones – Everybody Loves Raymond
Marie and Frank might be annoying in-laws, but they’d be amazing grandparents that would probably spoil you like crazy around the holidays.
9. The Bankses – Fresh Prince of Bel Air
Uncle Phil might act like a Grinch, but deep down he’s just a big cuddly teddy bear. Plus, with a dorky cousin like Carlton, you’d always look cool by comparison.
8. The Pritchetts – Modern Family
With such a diverse family like the Pritchetts you’d never have to worry about being the weird one. You’d have two gay uncles, a sassy Columbian aunt and a dad who knows all the dances from “High School Musical.”
7. The Camdens – 7th Heaven
Although present shopping for so many people would be an annual headache, at least you’d know your holiday memories would be warm and fuzzy—probably with a “very special” lesson thrown in.
6. The Simpsons – The Simpsons
This animated family might be a bit on the dysfunctional side, but having a dad like Homer would mean that the holidays would always be full of hijinks.
5. The Tanners – Full House
There may not be much room for you at the Tanner family table, but that’s only because the Beach Boys have probably stopped by for a holiday visit and impromptu concert.
4. The Conners – Roseanne
The blue-collar Conners might have experienced a great deal of hardships, but Roseanne kept them laughing through it all with her dry wit and biting sarcasm.
3. The Cleavers – Leave It To Beaver
These wholesome suburbanites set the standard for the ideal American family. Having a little brother like the Beav to distract your parents would allow you to get away with pretty much anything.
2. The Huxtables – The Cosby Show
Cliff and Clair have the perfect good cop, bad cop routine. She’s a no-nonsense lawyer who runs the house like a courtroom, while he’s a spontaneous goofball who just loves a good sandwich.
1. The Bradys – The Brady Bunch
Everybody wanted to be a part of the “Bunch” when they were growing up. Having so many siblings means there’s always someone to have your back. Plus you’d have Alice to prepare the holiday feast and clean the dishes afterward.
